Still, I Scribble: Two for 2024 (thus far)

Working the theater communications grind can, ironically, take a lot of time away from creative pursuits. But I have been able to publish a few things a bit more story-length than a ticket sales post this year.

That said, my two most recent articles profile theater professionals. The first, an interview with actor and comedian “ranney” (that’s how he stylizes his name), ranges from August Wilson to American Idol, and was written while he was working his way through an extensive, professionally skewed bucket list.

The second actually took root right here at the ole, stalwart blog: a profile of costume designer Christina Beam, who created – and continues to add to – a collection of life-sized, fairy-tale-inspired sculptures made from paper, cardboard, and Tyvek.

Both appear in Souls’ Light, Shakespeare & Company’s Season 2024 magazine.
