October is my excuse to watch nothing but horror movies… and supernatural 1980s musicals.

I love horror movies year-round – if they’re good, they’re scary, and if they’re bad, they’re funny, so my theory is you can’t lose.

ArcherVision has been very accepting of my horrorphilia lately, as I force him to watch screamfest after slasher after thriller, all in the name of being festive. In the last few days, he’s patiently suffered through Cabin Fever, The Happening, Halloween 5, Poltergeist, and The Exorcist; I also shamelessly threw in the not-quite-a-classic Teen Witch with Robin Lively yesterday, on the basis that it was big when I was in middle school and I wanted to relive the magic of scenes like this:

Tonight, maybe we’ll try Midnight Meat Train or House of 1,000 Corpses … both look like a laugh-riot.
