I was excited enough to go to Carrie and Kevin Chard’s beach wedding last weekend to haul my ass out of bed at 6 a.m. Ok, closer to 6:30, but still. It was a Saturday and I am nothing short of surly before noon.
A few hours of driving and a Big Two-Do breakfast with A_Teen and The Charb later, though, we descended on Salisbury Beach, near Boston, with about 50 other guests toting beach chairs and towels. Such are the makings of a good day: simple, classy, focused on friends and family, and set against the rolling surf under a warm September sun.
Thank you Carrie, Kevin, and families for inviting me to share in your big day. I hope these snaps give inspiration to someone else planning a beach side wedding some day… including the last one in the series. Guests, wedding party, officiants, I implore you. Be ye not so stupid.
