I, as a black cat owner, was unaware that this was a thing: Black cats are half as likely to be adopted as other cats.

Enter Black Cat Rescue, an organization dedicated to saving black cats and delivering them to loving homes. They also have a great logo.

 

 

In addition to supporting National Feral Cat Day, an October event, BCR is also getting into the Blogtober spirit with a call for black cat folklore stories for an upcoming post.
