Blogtober ’21: Continue to Do All the Things

Part Two.

On the Fair Circuit: we hit the Pittsfield Fall Festival on the Common for a little farmer’s market-style shopping, crafts, and munchies.
I bought this awesome plant hanger from Simply Macrame.
I was chastised for calling a delicata squash a gourd at this tent and I’m still feeling a little spicy about it.
Walking the Walk: It’s so nice to walk around our inherently autumnal neighborhood after nearly a year of not walking at all. We’ve taken a few in the last week – sometimes with a task in mind, sometimes just to meander.
Plus, a lot of my neighbors go all out for Halloween – this Purge-esque coven is a new addition and one of my favorite haunts this year.
We collected leaves for art projects including ironing them in between two pieces of wax paper and simply arranging them on the table for photo shoots.
Retail Therapy: On Friday night, I checked out my friend Soma’s new storefront grand opening! She creates awesome soy-based, therapeutic candles and is also offering the wares of several Berkshire-based makers. It’s the perfect way to avoid shipping delays this holiday season. 😉
I picked up a few goodies to get started!
On the food front, I was treated to an unexpected spook with friends at El Noa Noa, a Mexican cantina in Chatham, N.Y., when the Molcajetes arrived at our table. It’s straight out of the dinner party scene in Beetlejuice.
I also got started on my Halloween costume… more on that later.
