Hot Buys at the Bootique

I don’t personally know why anyone would want to “ease into” the spooky season, but retail nation gives us many avenues to gradually introduce the Halloween spirit to our psyches.

Here are a few things I’ve seen in my summer-to-fall travels:

Any trip to Marshall’s from mid-July on is bound to have some options.
Spotted when dragged to Ulta by JaxKid in late summer. I respect that it’s not another pumpkin spice abomination.
Day of the Dead gummies can start the Halloween candy obsession a little more stealthily than Fun Size Snickers.
I’m actually wishing I bought these. Rae Dunn doesn’t really pull in my region like it does in other locales, so I feel safe.
Ok, this isn’t easing into anything. But these whacked Horror Babies might be Spirit Halloween’s finest effort yet. The unnerving young man above is baby Art the Clown from the Terrifier franchise, but baby Leatherface and baby Pennywise are also options.
And finally, the most cost-conscious way to usher in the cooler months at home: I give you Lo-Fi Cat, an adorable cat who is always doing adorable things on YouTube, often seasonally. It’s also not always the same cat, for the record.
